We partnered with Rugby World Cup hero Jason Robinson to show kids they can do anything.

No one is too young to be inspired. And, at ilke Homes, we want to inspire tomorrow’s pioneers of the modern methods of construction.

That’s why we are delighted to launch the I Can Do Anything initiative with Queensway Primary School in Leeds.

We’ve partnered up with Rugby World Cup winner Jason Robinson to inspire the fantastic pupils of Queensway Primary School in Leeds to engage with science, technology, engineering and mathematics, while getting active through sports coaching led by Jason.

The former Rugby World Cup star is the perfect pioneer for the I Can Do Anything initiative. Hailing from humble beginnings in inner-city Leeds, Jason rose to the very top of international rugby, winning the Rugby World Cup with England in 2003, and inspiring a generation of young people in the process. As such, Jason understands better than anyone the impact that inspiring and supporting young people can have on their personal development.

As part of the I Can Do Anything initiative, the pupils of Queensway Primary School will get the chance to build their own bird houses, hone their tag rugby skills and gain insight into how we manufacture ilke homes at our factory.

The I Can Do Anything initiative is about teaching children to believe in themselves and that they can achieve greatness in whatever path they choose to take.

We truly believe in engaging children at a young age, inspiring them to learn, to have fun, and build the skills that will allow them to be the best version of themselves.

By teaching these children vital skills in a fun and inclusive environment, we hope to tackle misconceptions around careers in construction and manufacturing.

With too many young people turning their backs on construction, we believe that the best way to inspire the next generation is by showing how exciting manufacturing and building can be.

Of course, by partnering with a Rugby World Cup hero, sport was high on the agenda too.

Jason and the team coached the pupils in various sports and activities, promoting the importance of health and wellbeing, and encouraging them to have an active future.

The classes will be taking place weekly, with the sports coaching running until the end of term to keep the pupils at Queensway Primary School engaged, inspired and active.
