ilke Homes appoints Dave Sheridan as Executive Chairman

British modular homes specialist ilke Homes has announced today the appointment of Dave Sheridan as Executive Chairman.

Sheridan takes the reins from CEO Björn Conway, who successfully set up ilke Homes as an independent business and was responsible for the launch of the Yorkshire manufacturing facility in November last year, officially opened by Communities Secretary Rt Hon James Brokenshire.

As previous CEO at Keepmoat Group and Engie Regeneration, Sheridan launched ilke Homes in 2016 and has since remained involved in the business. He will now lead the executive team, taking on the position of Chief Executive until a new CEO is appointed. Sheridan brings a wealth of experience to the role, supporting the next stage of growth for ilke Homes.

Dave Sheridan, Executive Chairman at ilke Homes comments: “I would like to thank Bjorn for his hard work and dedication to establish ilke Homes as a market leader in the modular housing sector, offering high-quality housing solutions to the UK housing crisis. I look forward to working closely with the team as the business enters into its next phase of exciting growth. We have a busy financial year ahead, with over 600 homes across 30 sites in our pipeline and increasing the factory’s output beyond its current rate of delivering one new home per day.”

ilke Homes specialises in the latest offsite manufacturing techniques, working closely with partners including local authorities, housing associations and developers to deliver high-quality, sustainable new homes. Most recently, the company gained NHBC Accepted System status for the ilke Homes solution.

Properties by ilke Homes have flexible layouts with hundreds of possible variations, from two-storey terraced houses to three-storey semi-detached properties, and blocks of flats of up to six storeys, in addition to a huge range of internal and external finishing combinations to choose from.

The homes are mortgageable and tenure blind, being fully adaptable to both private market and housing association requirements for all forms of sale and rent. Homes are fully-approved by the National House Building Council (NHBC) and Build Offsite Property Assurance Scheme (BOPAS), and standard mortgage-ability is achieved through 10-year structural warranties from NHBC Buildmark or Building Life Plans, accepted by all major lenders.
