The Executive Team of ilke Homes Ltd, declare that the aim of this policy is to achieve a working environment which is free of work-related accidents and ill-health, and to this end will pursue continuing improvements year on year. The main general duties to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare at work for all our employees, contractors, and visitors will be achieved by:
- Providing information, instruction, training, and supervision;
- Providing and maintaining safe plant, tools, and equipment;
- Providing safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of injury and ill-health;
- The safe use, handling, storage, and transport of articles and substances;
- Maintaining a safe place of work including safe access and egress;
- Providing a safe working environment with adequate welfare facilities;
- Ensuring all employees are competent in carrying out their duties;
- Complying with all current applicable Health & Safety legislation, including any public health emergencies or pandemics;

Dave Sheridan, Executive Chairman of ilke Homes Ltd, declares that the policy for the organisation is committed to protecting the environment. To minimise environmental impacts concerning our activities products and services.
The organisation aims to:
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and other related requirements to which the company subscribes which relate to its environmental aspects.
- Include the consideration of its environmental issues in business strategies and initiatives.
- ilke Homes senior management are committed to ensure that the protection of the environment is firmly embedded in both the company’s and all employees culture and will endeavour to influence its suppliers and customers in a similar strategic environmental manner.
- Prevent pollution, reduce waste, and aim to minimise the consumption of resources as so far as reasonably practicable.
- Consider the wider impact of our activities including those of our suppliers’ customers and stakeholders.

From supply chain and internal operations to end-use design, by upholding the highest levels of integrity and responsibility we can work to ensure we create the biggest benefit for our stakeholders, employees, clients and third parties both within our business and throughout the wider community we serve.

In addition to compliance with national legislation, we work hard within ilke Homes to create a working environment where all employees feel safe, welcomed, valued and respected at all times. Failure to comply with our internal culture of tolerance and inclusion will be dealt with effectively and promptly so as to maintain a workplace free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.

Competence and impartiality are central within our business practices as standard. We pride ourselves on our ability to deal with any grievances and disputes which arise with fairness and justice by following established policies and procedures. Health and wellbeing.
At ilke Homes we prioritise the safeguarding of the health, safety, and wellbeing of all employees, contractors and visitors to our premises and sites. Through abiding by relevant legislation, providing adequate facilities, and encouraging staff to voice concerns over suspected dangers, we work to ensure the creation of a safe and pleasant working environment.
The health and wellbeing of the individuals within the local communities we serve are also of paramount importance to us. By manufacturing offsite, we’re able to minimise disruption to local communities and significantly reduce both air and noise pollution. Manufacturing offsite also enables us to control and reduce waste sent to local landfills.

Modern slavery and human trafficking.
At ilke Homes we aim to have transparent business operations and performance. We follow a high set of ethics and values, and these guide our governance procedures and management decisions. We are committed to expanding our operations in a sustainable manner for the benefit of our customers, employees, and the wider community. We take our corporate responsibility very seriously and this forms the foundation of our strategy and business decisions.
This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and explains the measures ilke Homes has taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chain during the last financial year ending 31 March 2022.
ilke’s main business.
ilke Homes is a company that delivers precision-engineered homes to third-party sites or to developments procured and serviced by ilke Homes on behalf of a customer. We work collaboratively with our partners to create homes to meet local requirements. More details of our business are available on our website.
Our supply chain: We have a small, specialist, supply chain, with approved key suppliers based in Europe, predominately based within the UK.
Our policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking.
ilke Homes has a robust recruitment process in place which involves ensuring that pay and working conditions are appropriately managed.
ilke Homes has maintained policies and procedures to ensure that all business is conducted in a transparent, ethical, and responsible manner, thus remaining compliant with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. ilke Homes’ Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy sets out ilke Homes’ zero tolerance stance and explains ilke Homes’ procedures to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in its business and supply chain, including how suspected breaches can be reported.
Terms and Conditions of Purchase.
ilke Homes’ terms and conditions of purchase imposes a requirement to comply with our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy.
Other existing policies (such as the ones below) are designed to ensure compliance to high ethical standards of behaviour throughout the organisation, fair treatment of all colleagues, and an open culture where any concerns can be raised with Management:
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy;
- Whistleblowing Policy; and
- Grievance Policy.
As part of the Whistleblowing Policy, ilke Homes has a confidential online reporting system to ensure an easy means of reporting any policy violations. Reports are investigated promptly and thoroughly by appropriate senior personnel in the business.
Our due diligence processes.
ilke Homes has introduced further due diligence on the supply chain as part of the approval process leading to preferred supplier status. We continue to consider where our business and supply chain is most at risk.
We request that key suppliers confirm that they comply with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, in addition we ask that they also comply with the requirements of the Equal Opportunities Act 2010.
Ilke Homes does not support or knowingly deal with any business involved in slavery or human trafficking. We will not work with any company or other supplier in breach of the ilke Homes’ Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy or identified as having slavery and human trafficking in its business or supply chains.
ilke Homes provides Modern Slavery training to all new employees through its induction programme and will be introducing refresher training for those involved in the supply chain function to ensure they can continue to evaluate the risks and recognise signs of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Following a review of the effectiveness of the steps we have taken to ensure there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain, we intend to continue to critically evaluate the policies and training we have put in place to prevent slavery and human trafficking taking place in our business and supply chain. We will act on any reports or notifications from staff or external authorities, including prosecutions or criminal charges, and thus ensure no forms of compulsory labour or human trafficking take place in our business and supply chain.
